What do they say about Larry Pesavento?
COMMENTS ABOUT SEMINAR
I met Larry Pesavento at a Traders Symposium in Las Vegas in 2005. He was assisting his old trading buddy Bryce Gilmore in a seminar about day trading. Larry took the stage and spoke about how he traded for a hedge fund using pattern recognition, harmonic numbers, Sacred Geometry and Fibonacci numbers. It was a huge eye-opener because I did not know that hedge funds day-traded and swing traded, and I certainly had no idea what methods these gigantic funds used for trading. I enrolled in Larry’s private trading group and read his books again. I then went to attend a seminar he conducted in the US. It was one of those moments where you realise that trading is so much more than just learning a handful of methods and off you go. Larry taught the methods, the set-ups and the different scenarios to watch out for, but he also taught me why I was failing in certain areas and more importantly what to do to rectify my errors.

Larry has a rare gift for teaching, and he has a huge following. I saw him trade live in front of a huge crowd in New York. The two much younger day-traders he was competing with were scalping stocks on Nasdaq. Larry had done his research and was ready from the get-go. He put in a limit order to short Apple shares. He went short 2000 shares using his Opening Price principle, and 45 minutes later he closed the position with a $2500 profit. Apple had dropped almost $1.50 in the hour he traded. What was amazing was that while he was in the position the audience was watching Apple on the big screen above his head. It was slowly but steadily falling and falling. Larry did not look up once and throughout the time the position was open, he entertained the audience with theory on day trading and swing trading, and stories from his time in the trading pits. Finally Apple had reach support from a previous swing, and without remorse he closed his position and said “job done”. He then explained to the audience that many traders are so anxious to take a profit that they will sit and watch their stock tick for tick. That is not the best way to trade, we were told.
From a personal point of view Larry has had a bigger impact on my trading than anyone before him. Ironically one of the best things he has taught me was the ability to take a loss. He has also shown me methods that I thought I already knew, but I had missed some vital points. I consider Larry to be one of the most skilled and gifted traders I have every met. His mentoring has brought out the best in me as a trader.
" You have and continue to be a great teacher and a motivator for me Larry. I know I could never be where I am in this process without your help" Mike Shaw (student of Larry)
" Thank you for the time spent with me, teaching me the set-ups you use. I have turned a corner since your workshop, and for the first time I feel calm and confident when I trade."
Joe Rasso ( Student of Larry)
